Compliance

At Davidson Benefits Planning we view our account managers as an extension of your HR team. As a result, we have been able to keep our clients in front of compliance issues. We are here to provide the best solutions for your company’s unique needs in this important area.

We Are Your Partner

Our partnership with our clients is always at the forefront of our minds. In the HR/employee benefits industry, timely and meaningful information is crucial. DBP keeps you in front of compliance issues and concerns in a variety of ways, including:

  • Client compliance audit
  • Compliance Alert program (within 48 hours of new, major federal legislation)
  • Davidson’s compliance portal (24/7 access)
  • Compliance webinar series
  • Quarterly compliance and legislative newsletter
  • Compliance checklists
  • Compliance white papers and legal opinions
  • Meetings and electronic communications
  • HRinsider – web-based information providing the latest industry trends and resources
  • Seminars sponsored by Davidson

Additionally, Davidson provides signature ready 5500s and summary annual reports, reviews plan contracts and summary plan designs. Davidson also assesses our client’s Medicare Part D creditability, provides model notices and provides the required federal reporting.

We Are Proactive

Many brokers and consultants say they are proactive, but we live it. For example, when Medicare added required employer actions relating to the new Part D prescription drug plan, DBP provided clients a white paper, provided the required analysis and notices, held related seminars for our clients and filed with Medicare on behalf of our clients. Basically, we did as much as we could to limit the additional workload for our clients while keeping them updated on the process and progress.

Legal Expertise

We encourage clients to contact us with any HR legal matters. Often our compliance specialists have worked on similar legal concerns with other clients and have a ready response, but if not, we will work through our resources to satisfy your concerns.

Our expert resources include local and national labor law and employee benefits legal advisory services. In addition, we have an Erisa Attorney, John Riherd, on staff.
